No. I am not into Simon Cowell. Metrosexuals aren't my thing. That being said, I have to tell you.....he is the best sexual dream partner I have ever had. WOW! I tremble just thinking about it! For only the 3rd or 4th time in my life I had the equivalent of a wet dream. The sexual connection between us was so concentrated and passionate and all consuming that just staring at and being close to each other had the power to do that to me. No touching necessary! Then my late husband came back after being gone for a year. I guess I had presumed him dead. (in real life he did die of a failed heart transplant) and so because I loved him.....I had to let Simon go. For now. He gave me a huge, beautiful ring.
Then there was the one about my boss giving reviews and he pulls up in a humongous motor home. I asked if I could finish changing from wet clothes into dry ones. He said OK. I could clearly see into his motor home. Two separate sections were like little cafes or soda fountains? There were ice cream chairs and tables, like bistro tables but candy striped. Cotton candy. So much.
And being told to tell someone in receiving something but someone kept needing me for something else and I finally saw one of the guys who worked back there. He was going down the hall in some giant yellow truck or construction vehicle.....
Then the part about my one really good friend/co-worker not telling me she got married.
Do you know that this was only part of my dreams for last night?
I dream like this most nights. When technology advances enough that they can record your dreams....I know I will get a cult following. No - bigger than that.
Now ask me why I am always tired.

I got lucky!!!!!
Well, yeah. That too. Finally! I guess if you are married to an "old" man and keep him waiting long enough.......he will um...well he....let's just say that things work as they should.
But no. I am talking about an all day marathon of Criminal Minds! And since Chuck left with Maggie, I get to watch our little-and currently only-TV in the kitchen. Yay!
Chuck went to bed at 8pm because he likes to leave early in the morning. I had taken a nap from 4pm - 8pm because I only slept 5 hours the night before. BTW, whenever I talk about sleeping short hours....it is my own doing. I chose to stay up. Anyway, I stayed up a couple hours knowing he sleeps better without me even though he says I do not bother him. I was going to go to bed when he woke up but decided to help him get on the road. A fresh pot of coffee and....how could I resist. By then it was only about 4 hours until I would normally take my morning meds. So I thought I would stay up and go to sleep after taking them. I went to bed at 7am and when I woke up, I saw that I hadn't taken my pills. What a stupid!
I don't hear much from my daughter. I contact and offer but don't push. My 13 year old grand daughter is now exhibiting the same behavior that my daughter did when she was about that age. In fact Dawn still feels like that sometimes. Meadow says she is often shaking and dizzy. And my son called me to let me know he's been having more headaches and they are more painful. He is not a complainer at all. But since he is the one with the brain tumor....he pays attention to these things now. He said he may or may not see a doctor. He is smart and will do what he needs to. He is the one who calls just to see how I am.
Chuck has called me twice since he left this morning. I wish he wouldn't drive straight through.
Speaking of driving....I am pretty sure we are not renting a place in Florida this year. As always he waited until it was too late. But I am glad. We will just ramble around here and there, perhaps starting with North Carolina and going to Florida from there. Will see his son and family in Orlando and then go down to Cape Coral where we used to have our condo. Maybe the Keys....just the kind of trip I really wanted. No. I mean for real. No pressure. No time tables. Just he and I and Maggie and the muzzle I am going to gift her with. Ha!
Peace & love.

Premature Evacuation
I said evacuation! Yeah. No deal reached by midnight so I put on my parachute and jumped off the cliff and into the abyss. No way was I going to wait to be pushed. The abyss seemed oddly familiar to me. I looked around and saw there were only about 14 of us. Where was everyone? I got a text the following day telling me that the fiscal cliff was averted at the last minute. Well no...it was after the last minute, right? What really shocked me was the fact that my phone worked in the abyss. It rarely has signal. We got busy climbing out and I was glad to have my little multi-tool with me. Made it to the top and it was as if nothing had happened.
Saw Matt and Deb and the kids yesterday before they flew back home to Florida. Mmmm. Warmth. Oh. Did I tell you we broke a record set in 1878? 310 consecutive days of temps above 32 or 34 degrees. That would be fine except that it means no snow. It's January and STILL no snow? Maybe it is the end of the world.
A word on Maggie Mae. She is about 7 1/2 months old. We had to put our other lab down in July of 2010 or 2011. And she was awesome!!!!!! She belonged to my son and his wife. They worked long hours and so we got her when she was about a year old. Best dog ever. Maggie is also very smart like Belle was. I know Maggie is just a pup but I take it personally. I have tried everything. She sees me as a "playmate". I have even tried the dominance thing where you tell them NO (when they do something bad) then get on top of them and push them into the floor. Oh,....she thinks this is great fun. I know she will grow out of it. I know. It's just that I can't be fighting depression and her at the same time. I know she will grow up and be the one comforting me by licking the tears from my eyes. But as for now......? How'd you all like some dog stew?
And so it goes. I was trying not to take a nap yesterday but then Chuck came to the door while I was out smoking, and pulled down his boxers and.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He has never done this before. I am the one who always hollers to him out the window and when he looks, I lift up my shirt. So yeah. I ended up taking a "nap." Just woke up a couple hours ago having slept 8 hours. It was 1 AM when I awoke. I really don't think I can go back to sleep. I want to go work up in our office-year end and all that-but it is right next to our bedroom and I don't want to wake Chuck up. I could do laundry. It's in the basement. And in case anyone wants to know what I want next Christmas.....that would be a ranch house with a laundry room RIGHT THERE! No hauling clothes up and down 2 flights of stairs. Don't need crown moulding or a viking oven or sub-zero fridge. Hell, I'd even be OK with just an outhouse if I could have my laundry RIGHT THERE.
Guess I'd better get back to it here. If I don't smoke those cigarettes, no one else will. Peace.
This was Maggie Mae at 7 weeks old. See how cute? Should have gotten her teeth pulled right then and there!

This is the first time I've made an appt. for sex.
So I am sitting out on the porch and Hunter comes out. He wanted to know if I was up for some "afternoon delight." Of course I always am except for when I'm not. He says whenever. I said now. He said he was going to tear out some of the garden first. So I asked when. He said two o'clock.
Yup! I officially had and appt. for sex. How weird is that?
Now that I don't work, Sundays are the longest day of the week. Why is that? I guess it's because I don't think about getting ready for work the next day. Church is at 9 and we are out by 10. But around dinner time it is hard to believe it's still Sunday.
Yeah. Sex and church in the same post. I'm like that. I don't think about what I should or shouldn't say. It's just me. It's who I am.
I have a question about texting. Whenever I text my daughter-in-law or my grand daughter....I always get a one word text back. I don't like that. I texted Meadow asking how her game was. She replied, "Fine." No word about who won or what the score was. So is that the way texting is supposed to work. I mean, is it an unwritten rule or something?
Oddly my fingers are numb. It must be kinda cold out here.
I see my GP tomorrow to see if I need a med. adjustment. I am so tired everyday and I think it's the thyroid medicine. I need to be awake! I'll be happy if he prescribes a good slap in the face every morning if I thought it would work.
Oh. And Penny the Jack Russel Terrier and Internet star will be amused by this.....
Maggie was playing yesterday though not quite as exuberantly as she usually does. Then she slowed way down, plopped down on her side and pooped with out even moving. I mean, the poops just came out. She was lethargic for a little while but perked up soon there after. What was that all about?
Will let you know if the Dr. changes my meds. or tells me to take a cold shower twice a day or what. Ooooo. Maybe he'll prescribe unlimited naps!

Sex on the Beach
No, not that time with my fiance when I was 17. That was a whole other thing. I remember I had this orange denim 2-piece. The top was just that and the bottom was like boy shorts with a belt that hung just so on my hips, grazing the bottom of my belly button. When we got back in the car I noticed the uncomfortable feeling of sand between the suit and my bottom. I took off the suit and dried off and shook out the sand.
When I was 15 I had a pen pal in the service. I had pictures taken of me in my sister's little bikini and sent one to him. In return I received a card. Inside was printed, "About sex at your age....." and it was signed by everyone in his platoon including his Sargent. Pretty cool.
So. We were at the Dells and it was a cluster-f**k as I knew it would be. Once we got to the restaurant I decided to have a drink. I had my first martini ever. Sex-on-the-beach. It was fruity and so refreshing and I guzzled it down. So thirst quenching!!! Then BOOM! I was drunk in a scary way. The feeling just escalated. That didn't stop me from almost grabbing the waiter by his lapels as I held up my glass and told him, "More sex please." I wisely left the drink sit until after we'd eaten.. I was still drunk but drank it anyway. Needless to say......I was too drunk to drive the 3-1/2 hours home. And stayed up until the alcohol left my system. That way I feel great the next day. Oh.
I left out the fact that this was a super expensive restaurant at Chula Vista. The bill-which we picked up-was over $800.00! 'Course that was for 8 people but shit! Are you kidding me? Next time (if there IS a next time) I will wear an evening gown and my tiara and diamond earring. I know my husband was shocked at the bill. I expected it to be in the hundreds but seriously! I did tell him I wanted to eat there for my birthday in August and again for our anniversary on Valentines Day.
And so we are in the100's for the next couple of days.
Thank-you to all who served to keep us free. We love and appreciate you. I am sorry that the Vietnam vets were treated with such vehemence when they returned. Many came home so messed up at the atrocities they were ordered to commit. Then they return to be called names and spit on. I Hope they are getting their gratitude now, even though it is delayed. Enjoy and celebrate our freedom!
