Watermelon in the Sink or....Why I Can't Do My Laundry.

Not an excuse.  More the truth.  I thought perhaps I would do some laundry as Hunter is gone right now.  Nope.  Even in his absence......he still has dominion over the kitchen and laundry room.  I have a new set of sheets that I wanted to wash and hang outside.  I got these sheets from my next door neighbor who got them off of QVC.  We were sitting in their backyard when the subject of sheets came up.  I was lamenting the fact that my fitted sheet never seems big enough.  She mentioned that she loves their sheets and her husband also agreed that they were wonderful.  She wanted to give me a set.  I asked cautiously if they were over $100, as I usually spend more than that.  BTW, I do not have a pillow-top mattress.  With wonder in her eyes,....she's like...No.  They were around $39.  She gave them to me as well as a two-pack of Olive Garden dressing.  What!  I didn't even know you could buy that!!!!!  I wrote her a check and she kept insisting she didn't want to be paid.  That doesn't fly with me so I made her take the check.  Anyway....I went down to the basement to wash them and there is a 5 gallon pail of water with a water melon in it along with cold water.  I can't lift that!!!!  (My washer drains into that sink so......

It's later now.  I haven't felt good all day.  I took a long nap and usually I feel much better.  Nope.  Still feel like crap.  Hunter does too but he has been sick a long time and coughing for weeks....I am surprised he can still function.  So I will be going to sleep early tonight.

If I feel better tomorrow, I will tell you about my birthday.  Teaser.....it may or may not involve TJMaxx.

Eat the watermelon. Hunter isn't there to complain; you can say you thought he bought it for you. Then gently tip the water out of the pail, and carry on as planned.

Happy Birthday. I hope you're well enough rested to enjoy the day tomorrow.

Hoping by now that the watermelon is history and the sheets have been washed. I hope you feel better, too.
