Where's my Man?

I am the one who likes to stay up at night and sleep late in the morning. I can see planning to go grocery shopping the following day but would never say, "Let's get up early and go,..." He often asks, "What are your plans for this weekend, what's your agenda?" HUH? Um,..it's Saturday and I,..what? I don't even get that question.

So what I'm asking here is,...where's the calm, easy going guy who gets things done as needed but can relax. The guy who doesn't mind sitting around in PJ's watching TV. The one who can just go through his day, doing what he's s'posed to be doing. The guy who isn't running through his life but rather walking at a pace that lets him enjoy the journey, even stopping along the way to reflect, learn or just observe with interest.

And see, I am not being unreasonable. I am not even asking for the one who will adore me or even put me first on his list. I would be happy to even BE on his list. I don't need a crown or maid or fur coat or cruise. I don't even need roses. The smallest token, that shows he thought of me, would reduce me to tears, simply because it has never happened.

And yes, I know about how the man shows you he loves you by taking out the garbage and keeping gas in your car and blah, blah, blah. I do that as much as he does, if not more.

Not mad today, just a little frustrated. Peace.

I love staying all up at night..and obviously I've been in the bed till lunch...

Hmmm.. And I really don't know what to say on this post except those facts that I compared myself to you.

I like it when you say walking at a pace...I like that.. enjoy more of life..

Hmmm.. I feel like I need to give even a small advice.. but I can't.. I don't know what to give.. but I'm hoping that guy your looking for came running back for what he is then.

and I hope that guy you were looking for is still in him.

Want to find your man? Look at him through his eyes.

Hopefully one day he slows down to simply enjoy life as it comes.

Go buy yourself your own crown, baby. It's going to look good on you and buy yourself some roses while you're at it. Relationships are hard, but really hard when there are unmet expectations. Hang in there and aim for perspective in all things. It's a mantra I repeat on a daily basis.

Sweetheart, try telling him what you want. If that doesn't work, get the two by four.

I hope you can one day have the things that you want. I'm sorry you are struggling with this right now. I really hope it does get better. Can you talk to him about this. Letting it get worse might make your feelings worse, if you know what I mean. Thinking of you!
*hugs*

Middle Child - you have won the naming of the 'Bella and Harriet's boys'. If you'd like to email me at sabby120@netspace.net.au and let me know which zine you'd like [issue two of By the Skin of My Teeth has sold out] but you can choose any of the other ones there and I will get your card and bookmark made over the next few days and post it all out to you. Thanks for coming up with the name :)

That's a tough one.

I have a man who has the energy of an energizer bunny. He just keeps going and going and going. And yes, there are days that frustrates the ever living snot out of me. But I also look at the bright side, I never have to tell him to get something done twice. He is on it, the minute I mention it.

And as for the appreciation, I know it might make it feel a little less, but have you told him you need to feel more appreciated? My hubs is pretty good, but sometimes, I think men need that little nudge. They forget what makes us happy because I don't think they crave the same things we do in a relationship.

And if that doesn't work, I say go with Betty's advice, buy that crown for yourself!

Good luck!

Poetry? Not hardly. I find it tiresome that some people just like to be snarky for no reason other than trying to hurt someone's feelings.
