We Got Engaged!

Kind of. We've been married since 1995. My wedding ring is what they used to call an eternity band. Five channel set diamonds totaling .72 carats. Love it! The Hunter has always said he wanted to get me a 1 c. diamond solitaire. Told me last year on our 15th Anniversary/Valentines day that it was time, and to start looking. It actually meant more to me that he actually said it and meant it. So - and very unlike me - I just never got around to it. We'd bring it up here and there but,...
So last night we were running around and we went to the one bank that's by the jewelry store. I said we should go look in there. I about fell out of the truck when he said, sure. He likes to look around and compare and nothing ever gets purchased. I am the type that knows what I want and where to get it. We had a budget for this just as we had when I bought my last vehicle. Ha to that! I'd been hoping someone made a channel or bezel set solitaire, but wasn't too hopeful as I'd not seen that before. Low and behold, this place did. They are a high end, family owned jewelry store know for their quality, knowledge and honesty. I didn't want to go to a chain store. This place is called Perlman's. I picked out the setting. So then we had to choose the diamond. He showed us four after we told him the size I wanted. I ended up with a 1.22 c. stone. Beautiful! It has been sent to Belgium where the designer will set the stone. I should have it in 2 -3 weeks.
Today The Hunter left to run errands, get milk and stuff to make this pudding thing he makes, which is yummy, picked up my snacks and also brought home a spiral cut, Hillshire Farms ham and we had that and sweet potatoes for dinner. While he was gone, I shoveled the EVERYTHING cuz I couldn't remember which parts he wanted me to do. (he said he'd blow off the rest.)
Allow me this. I have hung in a depressive, "nobody loves me" state for far too long. I am not denying that it will come back at least to visit, perhaps to stay for awhile so,...let me just enjoy the now. Thanks for letting me tell you. The Hunter said, "Don't tell anyone. Just wait until they notice.". Sounds good to me. Peace. Joy. Love and Blessings.

Take a look yourself in the mirror. Like what you see? That's a smile right there under your nose. Keep wearing that, it's always fashionable.

That is sweet. I am happy for you.

Although I kinda lost track of the story when I saw "ham" as ham is my weakness.
