Lemonade

My plan was to go to bed early, like by 10. This as been my plan for years and years. Such an easy thing and yet here I am at about 11:30 still awake. I was exhausted yesterday yet I was up 'till 1 am. Then I slept like the dead. I woke up 10 hours later still clutching my gorilla (don't judge) just as tightly as when I went to bed. And as always,....the dreams/nightmares. My dream life is so much more interesting that reality. Sometimes I think it even makes more sense.
I did go to the flea market and it was the perfect day, too. I got a few bracelets, some marquis by Waterford crystal stemmed glasses and the same brand votive holder. A few other things here and there. Dusty. I hosed off the car when I got home.
I finally got around to cleaning up the yard after the storm we had a couple days ago. Just one more thing I'd been putting off.
Good thing I don't live alone and that I'm not independently wealthy or I would have brought home a bunny and a puppy from the flea market. I love all creatures great and small. I was raised in a cat family and it took me 15 years of begging before we finally got a dog. I had fish and a hamster and mice and a huge turtle and tadpoles and crickets. My parents were pretty cool that way. I think I need a farm. Not the farmer in the dell, just the farm. And lots of land.
Wow. I sound like a teenager making out a list of what her life will be like. Yeah, those poor teens are in for a rude awakening. But you know the old saying,...
If life gives you lemons,
Throw them at someone!

Did I get that right?

You and your animals sound like our oldest daughter and her animals. She's up to 22 right now. Personally, I'm glad they're at her house and not mine. ;)

I have always wanted to have a regular early bedtime, too. Yet here it is midnight, and I'm commenting on your blog.

What in the hell is wrong with being awake at night? Sleep when you have to not when you want to. UH you could ferment those lemons and make hard lemonade which would get you to sleep sooner.

I agree with the Walking dude, sleep when you feel like it, no matter what time of day or night it is.
What's this about a gorilla?

If I get lemons I just bitch-slap them for trying to make the suck them and get the smile off my face. I like to smile. As for the gorilla, there is something to be said for wild monkey sex. Enjoy it. And I rarely go to bed before 2 or 3 in the morning. Get bored, email me.

Someday I'm going to live in a log cabin on a hill 5 miles from town. I'm also going to have 27 dogs. When I go to town for supplies the people will see me and whisper, "There goes the dog lady". THAT is my dream.

And try as I might for 10:30pm, inevitably its 12:30-1am most nights. No matter how exhausted I am. pffffffffft.

If life hands you lemons, hurl them through windows and cause a commotion!

Clearly, you're a night person--not meant for the early to bed, early to rise routine.

And, yes, if life hands you lemonade, you are supposed to throw them at someone. Preferably someone important, or someone you know who did you wrong. Go for it.
