That is not a good thing. Just finding out today that my grand daughter in Florida had been in the hospital a few weeks ago with a concussion -cheer leading is a dangerous sport- doesn't count so I am still waiting for #3.
1. Got a call from an animal clinic in Northern Wisconsin. Hunter was on the phone. Maggie got into poison again. I immediately started crying. And I couldn't stop. I was able to dial it down at times to listen to what he was telling me. It was a much stronger poison than the kind she got into last time. Yeah, the time when it took me awhile to convince Hunter to take her to the vet. Had we waited one more day she would have needed blood transfusions.
This time the clinic sent blood to....well somewhere else for further testing. But the one they tested at the clinic showed she didn't need a transfusion. She was sent "home" with Chuck to where he is staying for the hunting season. And he has special medicine to give her plus charcoal. I had trouble even telling him the phone #s of our vet here, Just not good. There is a slim chance she could even die. He has to call the vet up there tomorrow afternoon to get the blood tests and see what he is to do. He said he may come home the day before Thanksgiving. And possibly go back. Or I would meet him somewhere halfway and bring her home and he would go back up or just keep her there 'till the 1st of December as he originally planned. The only reason there are no tears staining this page is because the Xanax is finally kicking in. Had they not stopped, liquor would have been the next stop in my evening.
Oh.....sorry....
2. Daughter Dawn texted pretty much right after I hung up with Hunter. Grand daughter Meadow is in the ER. She has had headaches for a long time and they tried a few meds, one of which lessened her headaches but also totally stopped the tremors she was having in her hands. This headache was the worst ever. She had just seen a Neurologist who wants her to see a Cardiologist. But before Dawn could even make that appt, she ends up in the hospital. I am waiting for Dawn to call me.
3. To be Determined. The day's not over yet.

I got lucky!!!!!
Well, yeah. That too. Finally! I guess if you are married to an "old" man and keep him waiting long enough.......he will um...well he....let's just say that things work as they should.
But no. I am talking about an all day marathon of Criminal Minds! And since Chuck left with Maggie, I get to watch our little-and currently only-TV in the kitchen. Yay!
Chuck went to bed at 8pm because he likes to leave early in the morning. I had taken a nap from 4pm - 8pm because I only slept 5 hours the night before. BTW, whenever I talk about sleeping short hours....it is my own doing. I chose to stay up. Anyway, I stayed up a couple hours knowing he sleeps better without me even though he says I do not bother him. I was going to go to bed when he woke up but decided to help him get on the road. A fresh pot of coffee and....how could I resist. By then it was only about 4 hours until I would normally take my morning meds. So I thought I would stay up and go to sleep after taking them. I went to bed at 7am and when I woke up, I saw that I hadn't taken my pills. What a stupid!
I don't hear much from my daughter. I contact and offer but don't push. My 13 year old grand daughter is now exhibiting the same behavior that my daughter did when she was about that age. In fact Dawn still feels like that sometimes. Meadow says she is often shaking and dizzy. And my son called me to let me know he's been having more headaches and they are more painful. He is not a complainer at all. But since he is the one with the brain tumor....he pays attention to these things now. He said he may or may not see a doctor. He is smart and will do what he needs to. He is the one who calls just to see how I am.
Chuck has called me twice since he left this morning. I wish he wouldn't drive straight through.
Speaking of driving....I am pretty sure we are not renting a place in Florida this year. As always he waited until it was too late. But I am glad. We will just ramble around here and there, perhaps starting with North Carolina and going to Florida from there. Will see his son and family in Orlando and then go down to Cape Coral where we used to have our condo. Maybe the Keys....just the kind of trip I really wanted. No. I mean for real. No pressure. No time tables. Just he and I and Maggie and the muzzle I am going to gift her with. Ha!
Peace & love.

Headache in Vegas.
I think my daily headaches are from "living " with 7 dogs. I forgot I have allergies to dogs. But....I don't care. I love dogs. I will try to get some pictures to show you. Thanksgiving was great. Today they are putting up and decorating the tree. Then church tonight. After service John and my daughter-in-law are getting baptised. I am sooooo excited!!!!! It's almost time to leave so I will get back to this before I post it.
I'm back. Guess what? I GOT BAPTISED TOO! I know. I expecting to be so led but....I did it. Their church is large. I liked it and wish I could attend such a church. Hunter goes to a Lutheran church and is very much into the order of the service. He isn't very flexible that way so.....I go with him. I think it is the right thing to do but...I wish he were more open-minded.
I haven't heard from Hunter in a week. That is extremely unusual. I left two voice mails and still no return calls. If I were home,...I would have received 3 calls from him. He should be home by now. I will wait for his call. I just hope he isn't injured or in jail. You never know.
The weather has been absolutely perfect! I hope it continues to be the same. My grand daughter had a MAJOR meltdown today while getting ready for church. It started out about what she was going to wear. Then she somehow told her mom that she made them a card for their baptism and the she became hysterical. It was unbelievable! It's hard because my son wants to get involved by tough with her and Jennifer is too soft on her. It's hard for parents to agree on discipline. And it's hard for me to stand by and not intervene. But I let them handle it in their own way.
Tomorrow is football/relax all day. So....Yay!
Gotta recharge here. Peace.

Wishing thankfulness could be the daily norm.
I have a headache. A bad one but not a migraine. So much noise. Three very noisy kids. Loud football on TV and 7 dogs. But......it was a wonderful Thanksgiving. Great meal and we played a board game later in the afternoon. The weather was good too. It's nice here. No bugs, abundant sunshine and so many other things I can't count. Problem is.....you have to change outfits every couple hours because the temps are crazy. Cold then hot and repeat often through out the day. This time of year it isn't so hot you have to put the air on and it isn't so cold that you have to put the heat on. The roads are nice and well designed. I enjoy driving around here. 'Course we haven't gone to the strip yet and I can tell you that when we do, I will not be driving.
Hope you all had a wonderful day. We all have things to be grateful for. I think we just need to be more aware of all the things we take for granted.
Peace.
