Man those balls are heavy!

Early up for church. Too early. I needed a nap when we got home. Slept for about an hour and a half. Felt much better when I woke up. Mowed. Then weeded the day lilies. So much yard work to do, but it looks great and it's about the only thing that gives me a sense of accomplishment. Since I am a wild creature, I like my yard the same way. Yet because I am also a child at heart, I like fun and shiny things. I try to keep the weird in the back yard. But I have been buying bowling balls at Goodwill and want to put them in my yard. I really want to put them in the front flowerbeds but I am yet another kind of person on the front porch. There's the beach chair picture and the flowing sheer (and I've been told, sexy) curtains up on the south side of the porch. So...bowling balls? Really? I guess I will leave them in the back somewhere. They are too heavy to drag out front. I have three colors. I am hoping to find some really blue ones. (Joe? You listening?) Peace.

I've heard of a rock garden, but... bowling balls? Sounds like a bit of the whimsical. I like whimsy. Not sure how much I'd like moving them around. That's what I would call "heavy whimsy". LOL!

I am so lazy and a very bad gardener. Plants see me coming and hide because I have no clue how to care for them. Now cats, they are much easier to deal with. Bowling balls huh, hmmm, interesting :)

The idea of bowling balls is so cool and whimsical. You will need to post pictures when your done doing what ever your doing with them. It really has sparked my interest and put a smile on my face.

Hey, you could paint those balls the colors you want. My daughter and I glued blue half marbles on ours and I have one with pennies glued on it. I've seen beautiful things done with bowling balls. Someone on Garden Web had an old footed bath tub filled with white ones. I'll certainly be checking back to see what you do with yours.
