Got my books!!!!!

I finally went and got my books yesterday at the book store. The Hunter also wanted me to look for a new book he'd seen advertised on TV. Now I just need to take the time to read. We also got some more flowers planted. Wet ground, wet plants. No need to water. And really....who doesn't like to play in the mud. Yeah, I can see how fun mud-wrestling would be. My plants are sooooooooo water logged. I tried to dry them out. First I used The Hunter's heat gun-you know, the big red thing. My burning bush caught fire and I didn't even get to talk to Jesus tho I'm sure I was taking the name of the Lord in vain. I decided to try my hairdryer. It helped some but I kept getting shocked, then it quit all together.
I am looking to some sunshine the next few days. If my mood gets any lower, I will be sitting in the bottom of one of our cisterns. Today, I just don't want to play life. Perhaps a move (meaning popcorn for dinner.) Maybe cards. If not, I know I will want to just hide under the covers. I want to go away, go away. Perhaps a road trip. No destination in mind. No time limits. Poke around little towns. Stay in a nice motel/hotel, with a restaurant, bar, and fabulous pool. Ok, if you want to throw in a spa,....I will go along with that. Then in the mountains. Camp with strangers. Rent a house on the beach. Just a dream. Did you notice I didn't mention any travel companions?

I must admit I hate gardening. I am really bad at it and any plant I touch tends to die not long after. It's been this way my whole life. I killed my first cactus when I was 17 and I haven't looked back. I didn't mean to kill it but it just kind of was okay one day and the next it wasn't . Mud wrestling huh, ewww, I am such a girl, lol. Not that I thought for a mintue you were actually mud wrestling. Hiding under the covers sounds awesome to me right now because it's bloody freezing here in Oz.
*hugs*

One of the best vacations of my life was at age 20. I got in the car and poked around Wisconsin ALL BY MYSELF for a few days. House on the Rock, Circus World, back roads, yard sales, a train museum, a little league game next door to my motel...solitary bliss!
I still get a teey tiny taste of it when I do rescue dog transports. It's only an afternoon at a time, and it's not entirely aimless, but it's a bit of wandering, and the company is good.

For many years, when I was between wives (13 years)I would take vacation time by myself. Loved it, met many good people, enjoyed seeing what I wanted to see, acquire company if I wanted. Then I had to fuck it all up by meeting Judy.

Well crap! I was going to say that I was gonna come pick you up for that trip, until you said that about the traveling companions. Crap! lol

I for some reason can't do vacations...I always either end up in jail or buck naked in some storage station o.O

I could really use a vacation as well.

I'd just settle for a GOOD nights sleep, in my own bed. I never seem to get it right, although I practice all the time.

I like books... and I've come to enjoy gardening even more...

Doesn't mud wrestling qualify as foreplay?

The vacation idea sounds wonderful. Makes me want to take one for a few days.
