Mommy? Is hate a bad word?

Yeah, well I guess I should say I am extremely irritated then. I wanted to use the washing machine because I am changing over the bedding for the warmer months. The Hunter beat me to it. Then he "let" me use it and he actually brought the bedspread and shams up so I could hang them outside. I drape them over the line so the wind and sun can dry them. He drapes it across all the lines and uses 10 clothespins to secure. So, no breeze. I told him I didn't need him to bring them up. I told him I would hang them. Yes, I know. Sounds like a caring and loving man. And I s'pose he is. I woke up happy! Said something and also asked him if he was sick because his coughing seemed worse. BOOM! His response? "There sure is a difference in "climate" here compared to Minn. It must be my smoking and all the dust in the house. " Yesfolks, I apparently have the power to give a former smoker COPD. Guess I should try harder to get all the plaster mess up again. The shop vac protests mightily. And I could try moving all the furniture and crap and see if I can pull up more of the 40 year old carpet. (truth). And have you heard of 29 questions? He likes to play this but I don't think only one person gets to ask the questions do they? "Where's this? Can you do this? Can you help me with this? And there are also the orders from headquarters: Do this. Get that. Help me with this.

Do you see how I rock faster out on the porch, when I am angry? I get so ticked off that I often let it get to me. How? Well his"all the crap in the house"....say, does this include the bear on the wall and the many deer heads and the caribou and the ducks and elk and muskox? Does it include the tools all over the place from projects partially begun. (demolition is his forte.) No? How about all the guns and hunting clothes and wow - something new! A tool cart like twice the size of a microwave cart. I just love it there between the living room and the music room. OPPS! Got off track there. I went through some of my stuff as I often do. One time I just threw cool watches and jewelry in the garbage. I have given away antiques and now regret it knowing that some day I may have to sell it to live on if he predeceases me cuz most of our money has been put into accts. that go to his son upon his death. You know what? Never mind. I just give up.

Oh my... have you been peeking into my life? Some days I feel the same way...the next day it doesn't bother me as much. I used to think I was so smart until my husband retired, now I no longer know how to do anything right! ha ha

The mess is big enough around here, without a toolbox and demolition. (and it ain't all mine)

You could always send him back to Minn!

One of those days, eh? Sounds like you have a challenge on your hands. Remind us again why you are with him?? Oh, nevermind - it's just one of those days. :-) We all have them. When I have them, I want to throw all of DH's crap onto the front lawn!! It would take a long time, since there's sooooooo much of it....

I feel your pain. My hubby can bitch all he wants about clutter but he is the worst offender of us all. "Where is my drill?!" "On the back porch." "Why did you move it?!" "Because it does not belong in the kitchen!" "Don't move my stuff!!!"

I would be irritated also. I'm irritated most of the time with my partner over the house most of the time with the clutter and double standard.
