Another day, another daughter.

Oh no. Wait. I only have the one. She sounds much better but doesn't take a lick of advice. I can only repeat myself so much. I'm waiting for a call-back from her. Long story short-I told her to have her husband take her to the E.R. for fluids and I told her to ignore any eye rolling or sighs or negative mumblings. What happens? She asks. He rolls his eyes and she goes back up to lay in bed in the darkness. I texted back and am waiting to hear from her. But I am ok. I have done all I can. I am not God. (but He is a good friend of mine!)

Seems like I haven't had a day to just rest from our vacation yet. Think tomorrow might be the day. PJ's. DVR. Computer. Nap. Today was an exhausting day but fruitful. We went out to help the one niece and her husband clean out some of the stuff at Aunt Dors. We brought the truck and made several hauls to the Salvation Army. I was asked if I wanted this antique mirror. I hate that I don't have camera to be able to show pics. This one is hard to describe. It is very tall. Kind of like an old coat rack but it isn't. Most of it is a tall beveled mirror, in carved wood frame. About a foot and a half from the floor there is a base that has a slab of marble on it. The only thing that came off it was the marble slab. Good thing! It was incredibly heavy as it was. We were able to get into the pick-up truck and hauled it home from Chicago. Then The Hunter and I carried it into the garage-for now. Also got a beautiful table lamp with lots of crystals, etc. I know. Reading my posts, it seems that I am into things more than people. It's true. Things don't hurt. People do. I know you can't take it with you but I am going to try to sneak some things in when I go to Heaven.

So,...my neck is all sore from bouncing around in the truck for all those miles. I am in denial cuz I'm not ready for another neck surgery. Had one in 2005 and while the 'collar' is quite sexy looking and the hospital drugs are good, I'm just not ready. Besides, I think it's The Hunters turn to have an operation. When the Advil stops working, I will switch to Whiskey. When that stops working? I'll be S.O.L.

26 degrees right now. I feel sorry for my tulips that are about 5" tall. I feel sorry for me. Brrrr! I also feel sorry for The Hunter who seems to have caught a cold. Worse for him because of the c.o.p.d. Peace!

Sounds like you made a good haul with the mirror. I love those antiques. And for a temporary fix, Wallgreens have those small digital cameras with USB cords. No photos good enough for Sports Illustrated, but will work for furniture and snow shots. And the are only $10.

I can just hear St. Peter now: Are those crystals in your pants or are you just happy to see me??

Ha! You're too cute! Planning crimes in heaven already!

Hahaha. Well yes. Things don't hurt. People do.

You've had a neck surgery in the past? For what?

I have lots, bunches and oodles of "things!" Other than taking up space, they never hurt or offend me.

Oh it sounds like you were super busy with serious painful work. I can relate to the neck pain. When it flairs up I am all about the "Double V Cocktail" (Vodka and Vicodin) LOL Hope you are feeling better soon! Would love to see the mirror.
