Don't Tell Anyone But,...

I am always the one who's hot. I love the cold and snow. And now I am admitting that I may be done with winter. Yeah, I feel cold much of the time except for at the mall where even shorts and a tank top would be too much too wear. Could it be I am old enough to want to retire to Arizona? Really? Tell me it isn't so. The temp. has gone up 20 degrees and I'm colder that yesterday! It's damp and drizzly. So,...Brrr. Like I said, don't tell anyone cuz they would faint dead away to hear me say that.

I go to my therapist today in about 2 hours. The fog is s'posed to get progressively worse. Thank God for fog lights. I had a terrible couple months of depression and since a little bit of advice from my daughter, I am "healed". What do I talk to the therapist about? Will she feel hurt that my daughter gave me the best advice? Will she bring up a topic that distresses me so that she can help me through it? I do like to drive so at least there's that.

I don't go to the mall but I received a gift cert. for Penney's and so I went. I had left my coat in the car- I'm not stupid you know- but even so, I literally had sweat dripping down me. I did find my favorite containers, those Lock and Lock and was able to get two more sets. Happy happy joy joy. Now I can get rid of all the others. The Hunter likes to make stuff and give it to everyone, esp. his son so now he can use all the old ones. I also got a beautiful piece of Shannon Crystal. All these things were 50% off, plus I got a $10 off coupon on-line so I was left with 12 cents on my gift card. Bully for me! Target gift card yielded a Stephen King book and two Chelsea Handler books.
What, if anything did you get for Christmas?

I wish I lived where it snows. I would like to sit in the quiet and just watch it. I guess it gets old when you have it every year though. Here is Australia, the only snow is south. I'm in Queensland, the sunshine state, as it's known and we don't get that cold in winter compared to other states, but I still feel it.

I got so much for Christmas, I was very spoilt. I can't even name my favourite thing because I loved it all. Have a lovely New Year.

*hugs*

Have you ever had your thyroid checked? I can be hot as all get out and the second I stop moving I freeze, and it's due to low thyroid function. So I have a love/hate relationship with both the heat and the cold. Still, I don't think I could ever live in a state where it doesn't snow again. :)

As far as the therapist...I don't think they take it personally when a patient moves on. They likely take it as a compliment that they've done their job well, even when someone else gave the advice. ;)

We finally just got our first snow and I am pretty much done with it as well already.
I have some struggles with my therapist, too. Sometimes I don't know if I should see another one or if I am just not "working" hard enough.
I am glad your daughter found the words you needed to hear, though!
