Rededication

Oh,....gotcha now Coffeepot. Only one thermostat but I thank God and my husband everyday for central air.

I mowed this am. Yeah, you are right, I should get an award for this! In the afternoon we went to Chuck's late mother's church about an hour away. They had a fire around Easter and the repairs were completed. I like this church. We are considering joining and making the drive twice a month. (disillusioned with the church we have been attending.)

This ties in to a gift I used to have. I sang like an angel from young until about 10 years ago. On one particular high note - it was like my voice hit a brick wall. I have sung for weddings. Solos and duets in school and church. "To Sir with Love" at the last concert that we'd be having with our choir director. Was told by the judges at contest that I should consider opera. (um,...no.) Have brought people to tears. Sang the Star-Spangled Banner at the basketball game against our cross town rivals receiving compliments from both schools.
At some point, I think it became a mental block to the point that I had to sing an octave lower and it kind of hurt my throat because it was falsetto. ANYWAY - At this church, it was full of people and they sang. I mean the really sang. They also stood to sing as opposed to sitting down. And somehow, God allowed me to rediscover my voice. You can't imagine the joy I felt. Peace to all of you.

I, too, sang until graduation from high school. Church, choir, quartet and stuff. I even went to the high school All State Chorus at the Univ of GA twice. But too much booze, cigarettes (quit for 17 years now), yelling and stuff, the voice is gone. Don’t think I will ever find it again. But I am happy for you. I do miss singing, but not enough to go to church for it.

That's wonderful! I love to sing, but do it badly so I usually only sing for my dogs. They like it.

I'm just glad the verse says "make a joyful noise" instead of "make a perfect noise". I can do joyful. Perfect? Notsomuch. I can't carry a tune in a bucket with the lid stapled on tight!

Glad you found your voice again. :)
