We were going to refinance our house at a lower rate and so we had an appraisal. I am not even going to tell you what our house was appraised at because then you will think I am just making this shit up. I will say, however, that it was appraised at less than 1/2 of what it was 6 years ago. Go obama! - (not). WTF. Really??? I can't get past the denial/LMAO part of it to let it sink in as a reality. Gaaah. I can't even address this situation except to say - We are going to talk to the assessors office about our tax bill.
And the dentist says the oral surgeon's estimate was way out of line. So, now what? My daughter's surgery is the 22nd. Let's just say it involves sitting. My husband's tattoo's were done in the 1800's and are now blurred beyond recognition. I sit on my porch and rock to soothe myself. I love Blue Bunny ice cream cones. And away we go with the random thoughts. I sat and watched "House" for an hour while I had my breakfast of cereal, blueberries and banana at 2 pm. Now I want a little 5 hour nap but am up here pretending I am doing the office work I intended to do. I think I will hang my sundresses outside and let the humidity steam the wrinkles out. Bet I could make sun tea in about 3 minutes. If I were a bird, I would pluck all my feathers out and seek a pond or pool somewhere. Is my life fascinating or what!?
Money came thru for my son-in-law to get the truck fixed. He goes for a drug test for a job on Sunday (of all days). Your prayers are working and Could you now pray that he gets this job and also that my daughter's surgery goes well? Thanks. Blessings.

I know what you mean about the house value tanking, I have gone through that. Like you say, make sure the tax people know that, at least the property tax can go down.
