Windows In The Rain

I helped the Hunter take apart one window today. Then we installed the new one, held in place by a couple screws. (no...we didn't bang it to place....get your minds out of the gutter.) Then the helper guy came and they finished putting it in properly-and I use the term lightly. In other words, 6 out of 15 windows are installed but not trimmed out. I really wish they would have at least finished of the outside as there is some bare wood. The whole time they were working, there was a thunderstorm and we had 2.2" rain in 1 hour. I came up here and played Spider Solitaire. I went back down and the union boys were into the drinking phase of their workday. Did you know that when they are in the apprenticeship school, they have to take a course in drinking. Yup. Well maybe not, but it sure does seem like it is a prerequisite for the job. I ran out and picked up some dinner. This morning we cleaned out the air conditioner. Thank God. It has been running ever since. But I am excited because I think the highs will be in the 50's for about 3 days in a row. Am going to go with The Hunter tomorrow. He has an appt. with his cardiologist and want to quit taking his meds and needs to know how to do so. Hmmm. I support every one's right to choose as far as health care treatment. But I always want people-including himself-to have all the facts before they do anything. Like: What will happen if don't take this medication, or have this surgery or whatever. I know why he needs this medication and I know what caused this particular condition. But I am not his mom, nor does he expect me to be. Then we stop at the acct. to pick up our taxes. If ever there was a candid camera or punked situation, the "tax guy" is it.

I suck at Spider Solitaire. Give me Freecell or Hearts.

Sounds as if you and the Hunter have been keeping busy. I thank God/dess everyday for my family for I know if they hadn't helped in tackling our house I would still be living in a rental--we've been in our house for 9 years, if that tell's you anything--LOL~

I just did a metric conversion and when we have our summer in Brisbane it gets between 90-95 and it's really humid on top of that.

Hey, at least some of the windows are installed. It's a start! But, will there ever be a finish? Hmmm, time will tell.
