Answers and Cold Hands

Forecasting 20 degrees tonight. I have been inside about an hour now and my fingers are still so cold that I look down every once in a while to see if there's a tip of a finger laying on the keyboard. The Hunter is planning on planting the Geraniums we wintered over-hung upside-down in the basement, bare roots-and they will grow inside kept slightly moist until they can be planted in the ground. A neighbor guy taught us this, after giving me some GORGEOUS GERANIUMS in 2009. The Hunter has also thrown corned beef and cabbage, carrots and potatoes on the stove. Did I tell you about the time I almost died from cabbage? I don't remember exactly when this happened but it was while my dad was still alive-he died in 2004. I ate. Few minutes later, my stomach was absolutely killing me. I went upstairs crying and laid in bed. The Hunter came up and brought me a heating pad. This eased the pain and I was able to sleep. It happened one other time. Haven't had the problem once I had my gallbladder removed but you can bet your ass, I haven't touched cabbage since. I do like coleslaw though. What........it's different, ok? Daughter still too dizzy to go to work or do much of anything else. She doesn't heed my or anyone else's advice so,....what's a mother to do? I can only love her and pray for her. Hope your weekend is/was a good one. Peace. GNETCH - I had to have cervical discs fused. I cried the one time I had to have my son change the bandages because I feel...week and vulnerable? But it was the cutest thing when his son-my grandson- put some pieces of Kleenex on his neck to have "bandages" like grandma. DIANN-Send Vicodin... NOW!!!!!!!!! SARAH-I 'heart' you.

Mmmm...I love coleslaw but then again I love cabbage so it makes sense. But you not liking cabbage should result in your distaste for coleslaw which is not the case. Hmmm...curiouser and curiouser.

I love cabbage, even when it doesn't like me.

Isn't it still too cold out to plant the geraniums? Actually, if they're the kind you can winter over in the garage, they're probably pelargoniums. Anyway, it sounds like you have had plenty to do!

I take a head of cabbage, peel off a leaf at a time, add salt and much like a rabbit. I love cabbage, raw, cooked or in slaw. And grandkids can make the worst of times into a smiling moment.

Sounds like diverticulosis or diverticulitis. I have the former. I just had my gall bladder out in December, and I seem to still have some episodes. I eat and get EXTREME pain.

The gifts were great! Thanks so much:)
