Black Swan

Don't see Black Swan with anyone but your mate (unless he's a laugher like mine). Don't see it if you are already in a bad place emotionally. On the other hand, go see it if you WANT to get messed up. I just,...I, I, I,...are there even words? What was real? What wasn't? I can only say one thing with absolute certainty,...If Natalie Portman doesn't win for Best Actress,..I will go to Hollywood and go postal on their asses!

So you liked it? But it should come with a warning label? Like the surgeon general's warning on alcohol?

She should get that award for the lesbian scene alone.

From the trailers, it seems like a dark movie. Maybe if they turned the lights up in the theatre...

As for the hunter laughing in the movie, a stiletto under the arm in the ribs tends to quite’en rowdy people.

But I will go see it just for the lesbian thing Oilfied Trashed mentioned. Or wait until it come out on DVD and enjoy it in the privacy of my bathroom.

Couldn't agree more. An amazing actress, who will, no doubt be an amazing mum:-)

I love Natalie but don't think I could handle this movie right now. Thanks for confirming my suspicion!

I loved it. Even my husband liked it a lot. It wasn't what I was expecting but it was great! Natalie knocked my socks off!

LOL. Have not seen it yet. Sounds like a lot of sex and violence. HMMMM...

I loved it, but yes, it was very dark and twisted. And I left there with a renewed desire to not eat ever again. 'Course, I'm a recovering ballet dancer, so it doesn't take much to screw my head up that way.

I've never had the desire to see the movie, but the more I hear about it, the more intrigued I'm becoming to perhaps see it.

I saw it with my husband. He actually liked it more than I did. I thought she was fantastic but it was disturbing.

she was amazing.
and i'm tired of hearing about the lesbian scene, it was like 45 seconds long and i really felt cheated after all that fuss.

Some of these comments make me feel as if the point was missed... the lesbian scene is hardly the point of the movie, as far as I could see. You're right about the warning. I was not in a good place when I saw it. However, when things get brought to the surface as they have been by this movie, I do have the opprotunity to work through them... so I don't see it as an entirely bad thing. It was intense.

Thanks for your take on it. I beleive I actually saw the warning before - along with others - but by the time a month went by and my daughter said, lets go see it, i had forgotten all about them.
