2nd Christmas Letter (From 1997!)

In it's entirety:

No-No-No! This isn't an irritating Christmas newsletter. It's a CHAIN LETTER! You know,..make 25 copies and send them to all you friends next Christmas and Santa will be good to you. IF YOU BREAK THE CHAIN, you will get lumps of coal in your stocking,....well, OK, maybe this is a newsletter.

The Hunter has been back to work since mid-summer and is doing well. He had his second sinus in the spring. Those of you contemplating sinus surgery may just want to ask your doctor to do both surgeries at once. The hunter's hunting trips both to Colorado and Wisconsin were successful. Shot and 8pt. buck at 10min.to 8am on opening day in WI. This was during a blizzard! In Colorado he got a 5x4 buck mule deer.

Um,...could I brag just a little bit? The '83 Cavelier is down the road. I am now driving a 1997 Chevy Silverado 4x4 truck. I'M IN LOVE! Am no longer working at Target. Plan to switch to office work in a month or so. Enough of retail.

My daughter has completed her 2yr degree and is now working as a medical assistant. Her husband has received several raises and is doing well at the metal polishing company. They also moved to a townhouse. Nathan is growing by leaps and bounds. Pretty soon he will be winning those fights with his older brother Cain.

My son is putting long hours at Office Max. He has been promoted and enjoys his job.

The Hunter's son is finishing up electronics school. He has increased his hours at the Electronics store and is now doing repairs for them (putting his schooling to work.

His other son and our daughter-in-law are doing well. She quit her job and opened a day care center in their home. She loves it!

In closing, I'd just like to ask that you spend a quiet moment remembering those who are no longer with us, and even more importantly, HUG those who are.

Blessings,

By the way, in case this is s chain letter, I am making 72 copies to enclose in my Christmas cards this year, in the hopes that Santa will be really, really good to me. And I certainly don't want to get a lump of coal. Say,....coal?......isn't there something about coal and diamonds? DIAMONDS? OH SANTA!

(JOE CAP! - IN CASE YOU ARE READING THIS,...I do have a pair of blue diamond earring and I wear them every time I think of you.)

If you wear them every time you think of me, then you must wear them a lot! I am glad things are going well, I am glad you love your new truck, and I am glad you are getting out of retail.
Yep!

That is an awesome update. Good stuff. I was just realizing that I rarely comment on your post. Always read them but I guess you leave me speechless and laughing. I always wanted a truck...I am an Oklahoma girl so I think it is in our blood. Hope your office job goes well...retail can be exhausting. I worked at target once for three days. It was taxing to say the least.

Thanks for the update! I am a little jealous that Joe Cap is visiting you and not me. You can let him know he is in trouble.

Glad the family is doing great and you are happy with your new truck. But you can keep the letter. Santa doesn't come her any more anyway since I shot at his reindeer for clopping on my roof a few years ago. He’s to scared to even leave me a chunk of coal.
