Trippin'

Have been away from here too long. Let's see. Should I tell you about all the tv shows I have been watching? I know. I am lazy. Finally had to do some laundry! The guy the Hunter hired to take care of our gutters and all the leaves this month did am awesome job. Alas,..I doubt he can read. I went out to take the trash carts to the curb and discovered that the recycle cart was full of yard waste. The yard waste cart was totally empty. That cart is marked both on the side and on the top. Imagine me out there at 11pm transferring the leaves and stuff from one cart to the other, muttering "electrician's lingo" the whole time. Think I got even more bruises trying to dump the remnants of one cart into the other.
Yeah, back to the big old bruise on my ass. I was at my grandaughter's little league (t-ball) game in Vegas. It was super cold (and me without my fur coat!) The bleachers were like three aluminum seats tall. I went to get up and stepped over and,....WTF! I'm laying on the part where you put your feet. Really? Geez. Did anyone get that on tape? Can you spell e-m-b-a-r-r-a-s-s-m-e-n-t? I enjoy being inappropriate but not having stupid things just happen to me. I do not have pictures of the purse cuz I still don't have a camera. I could get one for Christmas-Ooooo, I did not just say the C word. Anyway,..Instead I am campaigning for these cool boots I have been looking for. They are like biker boots/engineer boots by Frye. They call them something else but really? I know my shoes. And I will just get that camera anyway. Now,... on to the Tarantula. Even though I AM batgirl, I am not totally brave about all things. I will however, attempt things to please or help someone else. I went to Vegas cuz my daughter-in-law was having surgery. As much as I missed my son,...I would never fly in an airplane. But. I did. I do the bat thing cuz my husband needs me to. I held our dog (my 2nd husband's best friend) at the vets when he had to be put to sleep. My late husband sat in the car crying. The vet says that the dog will die instantly, that rarely there is a complication where it does cause pain. Of course, it was a bad thing. But I had to go out to the car and tell my then husband that it went smoothly and was quick and painless. And I had to put my grief on hold in order to protect his heart. There's more but I already sound like I'm glorifying myself. If you know me, you know that's not true. Also that all the Glory goes to God. So,....I am leading up to this spider thing. Granddaughter Cami is a miniature Sarah Palin and by that I mean,..the girl has balls. I could tell she wanted to see, if not hold a Tarantula at the pet booth. I won't EVER hold a spider. I will kill one but hold one? Hell to the no. Yet. I did. For Cami. She didn't come any closer but, as in all things, I learned something new. The softest thing on earth is a Tarantula. Yes, seriously! Softer than a baby's butt. Softer than feathers. Even softer than a whisper. Flying. Holding a spider. Falling on bleachers. These are minor things to most people but victories and joys for me. (Ok, not the bleacher thing.) I have small dreams. I am easy to please. I am Grateful for all of you. Thankful that you let me share with you and learn from you. You are loved.

Good gosh girl, you've been BUSY! Sorry about the fall, I tend to be the one in that situation!
Glad you're back, missed ya!

I'm glad you are facing your fears. Little or big, you did it. I've held (or more like it, I let) a tarantula walk across my hand and arm. His feet had to hurt walking all over those chill bumps.

You got balls too babe. For both the easy (holding the spider) and the hard (holding the dog). Fuck that flying ...I have seven pounds of metal in my body and getting through security involves a strip search and the only one putting anything up my ass is my doctor who makes me fall in love with her all over again once a year.

I fall and a held spider within the same week is an interesting combo. I think I'd rather fall twice though, than hold a spider. ;)

wow, I don't know which impresses me more, flying, or holding the big hairy spider! I am soo proud of you!

Very impressive, I am so proud to see you taking charge and getting things done, facing ones fears may not seem like a big thing to a lot of people unless it's one of theirs, holding that spider was major.
