Why aren't hospitals more like Club Med?

Sorry. Been busy. Went to daughter's Tues. She's been sick since Sunday. Ended up being in the hospital with her. She hadn't been able to keep anything down for three days, inc. liquids. They gave her the choice f staying or going home. Really? She was just as sick as when she came into the ER. She and I agreed she should stay. She got several bags of fluid. Antibiotics, potassium, magnesium, dylauded, ativan, etc. Two days later, still not able to keep down liquids. But by today, she looked a thousand times better than two days prior. I brought her home. Everything seems ok for now. We'll see how it goes. I love it when she calls me Mommy.

Was hoping husband would stay through the weekend (in Wisconsin) and he is. My house looks like a war zone cuz I have a tendency to just leave things where they are initially put down. Opps! Had I gotten my shit together the day he left, I could have had a dog-hair free week. Before he could tell me he was staying, I told him I needed him to stay cuz the house was a mess and I needed time to clean. He's like, "Oh, so your boyfriend, the gas man is still there?" This was several years ago, but here's what happened , what prompts this response from him on occasion. He came home from work and found me in the basement (by the gas meter) with the gas man. Hottie doesn't even begin to describe him. I get along with everyone, esp. men. So he and I were talking, maybe some light flirting. From that day on, whenever The Hunter wonders what I've been up to , he mentions my boyfriend, the gas man.

Dull and boring once again,..oh but did I tell you about my day of crying? I don't know if it was the Official Day of Crying,...but I woke up that way and continued the whole day. I even cried for and hour at my therapist's. Now this was a new me that she's never seen before. And I've been going there for over a year! You know me,...I'm the strong one. Ha! That was the same day my daughter went into the hospital and again I am always strong in that situation as I have had much experience in that area.By the time I got home that night, my eyes were dry, red and sore. I started the day waking up thinking about my daughter and her family being kicked out and sitting out on the curb with all their belongings. I thought that because their house was being foreclosed on Oct. 26th, that they were forced out on that day. Guess that's not true. But that morning, early, I needed a verbal hug. Didn't know who to call that early in the morning. Then I remembered that The Hunter wakes up early. I called the farm and left a message for him to call me when he got back. He did and he was in a rush but I did get him to listen and he was pretty good but,...he had to go and cut up a deer someone had gotten. I asked who shot it and he said, no, it was road kill. Yeah, ok. That kind of set the tone for the rest of the day. Probably wasn't the smartest thing to be driving about 45 min. away with Xanax and Vicodin on board but, whenever I came to I was still on the road so,...I did alright. And you can tell I am tired so,..I'll said g'nite to all you lovelies. Peace.

Be careful with the gas man. I hear they can explode early if not handled just right. And if you ever need a verbal hug, give me a call.

I hope your daughter is better. I'm sorry you are going through a rough time. Run off with the gas man. That's my advice.
