Pickles or Bullets ?

JOE CAP - Well,...I was nicknamed "Sweet Cheeks" by one of my husbands.

I'm done with outside! Came up to change sheets and stuff and now part of my clothes are missing. Too hot to wear so much. Even with air conditioning, in a 100+ yr. old house, it is difficult to cool the upstairs. Gotta adjust for field conditions, right?
Chuck took all the dirty dishes out of the dishwasher and filled it with empty quart size pop (soda, cola, depending on where you reside) bottles. He's running them thru the dishwasher. He used to make root beer before he was mine. He's gonna make it again. I will finally get to taste it! He also found the "pickles" (like cukes) he needed to make pickles with. Something about a crock and stuff. What a guy. Ya think? He went looking for these "pickles" yesterday. I went to sit out back and hot as it was, I thought he was working on the pickles out of the back of his truck - tailgate down, etc. I told him to do it inside (the pickle thing) cuz it was way too hot for him to be outside. He held up something and said, "No, I only got these and I don't want to bring them in the kitchen." Prada glasses aside, I can't fucking see and I thought he had held up a tiny pickle. (no, get your mind out of the gutter). Anyway,.......I went over to where he was and the whole tailgate and on into the truck he had boxes and boxes of shells. Like for shotguns and rifles and trap shooting and who the hell knows what else! Not a lot of boxes but a TON of boxes. He got them from Vern, the taxidermist guy. See, you know how old guys hang out at the local diner or the donut shop? Well old hunters hang out at the taxidermists. Ok,..he says he got these shells so cheap. Why did he need so many? I know he has alot of guns but not enough to be able to use all these types of shells. He told me how much they cost and I said, so did you deduct it from the money he owes us? (We loaned him $22,500. to get stuff at auction - well not me but Chuck loaned without consulting me but that's another story.) So did he? Hillbilly Dunn, Ms. Anthropy and Queen already know the answer to this. He did not!!! He actually PAID Vern $150.00. Are you kidding me? He assured me that this loan thing is all taken care of. That Vern knows when the money is due back to us. (Yeah, a year ago this past March!!!!) But, no sense in getting pissy about it. Chuck doesn't consider me in that area and if I plan to stay with him (which I do), then it's not worth getting into it cuz he does what he wants anyway. So I guess that's enough for now. Need to smoke some more. Guess I'd better put my shorts back on. Damn! Or is that hot damn?

My husband would have been jumping for joy at the shotgun shells. Sounds like your hubs has a soft heart, just like mine. I can't say no to anyone.

coda meeting helped.

I have the strangest feeling that I know you, like in real life... like you are someone I know, I can't even figure out why I would think that... then I saw on your profile we live in the same state.

Girl, it's the heat! That's the only explanation for Chuck and his behavior.

Go Chuck!
Thats a good thing, the way we are headed everyone might need all the guns and ammo they can find. Ammo prices are way up and supply is down, I know folks who buy several boxes every time they are i town.

Oh, it's hot alright.

People still owe me money from fifth grade lunch. I never get repaid.

Unless you have a separate computer control on your A/C the upstairs will always be hotter. Heat rises. But next time you clean upstairs and trim down, send pics.
